Not sure how the reviewer can so flippantly discount the dismal ratings of customer reviews on the BBB and TrustPilot sites. With ratings of 1.1 & 1.6 out of 5, that should raise a huge red flag! I tried to sign up for Visible a few years ago, and it was a disastrous nightmare, their customer service was horrendous, and I was lucky to escape with my phone and sign up for Total Wireless (another Verizon reseller), which has been quite reliable, with far higher download speeds, for years.
THatās pretty much exactly the opposite of my experience. One thing I have noticed is that people giving 1 star ratings seem to be overly emotional about why itās 1 star. They donāt have āliveā customer service, thatās true. But I got a new phone and was having issues. I didnāt know if it was the carrier or the phone. I couldnāt resolve it online. Before I had a chance to give them a 1 star rating - they called ME and we talked and they said it sounded like an issue with Apple. I took myu phone to the Apple store andā¦it was an issue with the phone. But they reached out to me to solve a problem that wasnāt even their problem. So I ended up giving them a 4 star rating. Why not 5? Because often time 5 star ratings are just as bogus as 1 star ratings. I wanted to offer a legitimate review.
Iāve been with Visible for a few months now. No complaints.
I have had no problems with Visible. Itās OKAY. The speeds seem the same as Verizons, however, if you want to switch devices itās a pain in the Arse to say the least. You have to go through all these steps, check compatability etc.
I quit their parent Company Verizon after too many customer service issues, price and privacy issues.
I went back to Google Fi, they have the best options in my opnion.
As a Visible user for about a year, I find both are both good and bad features:
Good: 1. the price, $25/mo, but there are always discounts bringing the price down to $20
2. Verizon network works very well in my area
3. It was easy to set up acccount using their SIM card and my existing phone number, and even easier to set up a relative's account with ESIM and existing phone number, in fact it was instantaneous.
Bad: 1. It doesn't support Visual Voicemail for Moto G, Moto G Stylus and some other Android phones, making it necessary to do the old-fashioned *86 to call your voicemail and then use the dialpad to enter your Password - So 20th century!!
2. Global pass-If your data is turned on, you're going to be charged $10 for the day whether you want it or not, so be careful to leave data turned off until needed if you've enabled this function. Also be aware that it's still enabled for your next trip unless you cancel it. Data worked okay overseas, speeds can vary. I never could get it to enable me to place a call from overseas, although I may have been doing something wrong.
3. It's frustrating not to be able to connect to a live representative.
