Re the price increase in Amazon Prime Video for ad-free versions: I have subscribed to Prime Video for ages but am very disappointed and frustrated with it recently. It seems too many of the movies are now “buy or rent.” Phooey! That means the content now effectively costs much more. At $3.99 each and more for rental of even just two movies a month available only on Prime substantially increases the cost. Ad-free? Hah! No way I’d pay more under these circumstances.
I try not to pay for anything, although I have Prime mainly for Amazon shipping. But I noticed that I wanted to watch a movie, it showed it on Prime, but when I click on it, it gives me the opportunity to watch it on Peacock by paying for a Peacock subscription using my Prime account. I didn’t watch the movie, but if I subscribe to something, don’t act like you’re offering me something when all you are offering is a chance to spend more on something I don’t want.
