My late Wife needed medical supplies beyond what Medicare was providing, I went to Amazon to purchase them. A pop-up appeared offering $150 off our first purchase, so I signed her up. I also got the same card in my name. I while after she passed away I contacted Amazon for some reason and mentioned she had died, they immediately cancelled the card. Because I was only an authorized user, my error, I had to apply to get one. I did apply, and received it with no additional incentives. When I got it I discovered I had $5,000 less for my line of credit and also received a HARD HIT to my credit for 2 FULL YEARS. I never missed a payment during the year and a half we had the card and we already had a Chase Freedom card for 16 years at that point, we never missed paying in full each month. We also had a home loan Chase we paid off when we refinanced for a better rate with another lender. I would have thought that my track record with Chase would have ment something, but not with Chase. Beware!
