Can't get podcasts

I did some research, hoping to find that the bit rate or encoding had been changed and that is why it was not playing. Perhaps the original audio was out of spec.

However, what I found when I started looking for an MP3 to download, there were none I could find in the past week or two.

What I found was that many online Google search results all pointed to a particular intermediate provider that is not getting the files. The site often showing was MEGAPHONE.SPOTIFY.COM which is a distributor of the files it appears.

I could not spend any more time on this.

Glad to see it’s not a ‘me’ thing. Haven’t been able to get an episode in about a week. Using Overcast on an iPhone 16. Seems like the file does not exist when trying to download. Have also tried on Echo/Alexa with similar negative results.

I haven’t been able to download podcasts for two weeks on my iphone. I’m getting a message that says “This episode is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.” It’s only the Clark podcasts that I’m having an issue with. I have a paid Amazon Account and they won’t play either - the message I get is “Playback Failed”. I have a free spotify account, but the most recent episode is from 10/14/2025. Clark, I think the problem is you…the only way I can play is through YouTube which is annoying because it’s a battery train, etc. Please resolve before you loose listeners….!

I use the Overcast podcast app. I have not been able to download a podcast since 10/13. All the other podcasts work fine.
Clark is dead to me. :frowning:

I think they fixed it. At least on iPhone the default podcasts is now playing them fine where last week couldn’t play on that or overcast.

You’re not alone - looks like there’s a brief feed issue that is impacting a couple of podcast storefronts. If you try to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the Clark Howard podcast, or clear your app’s cache, that usually pulls in a fresh feed. Otherwise, in the meantime, you’ll still be able to listen for now on Clark.com/podcasts or YouTube.

I’ll join the “Clark download club” as I can download episodes again! I’m on iOS and using the Pocket Casts app.

I was just getting ready to enable Zelle on my bank account , when I heard Clark say “Big bad Zelle!” which changed my mind! That was a close call.

Thanks to Team Clark for getting this issue fixed.
