Best Microwave Oven Under $200–$300? Looking for Recommendations

I am currently looking for a new microwave oven and would appreciate some advice. My budget is between $200 and $300, and I’m hoping to find something that offers good value for the price. After doing some research, I’ve narrowed my options down to:

My main requirements are:

  • Reliable and consistent cooking performance

  • Good durability and long-term reliability

  • Easy-to-use controls and presets

  • Efficient defrosting and reheating functions

  • Spacious interior for everyday family use

  • Easy cleaning and maintenance

From what I found, all three microwave ovens offer features designed to make meal preparation more convenient, including multiple power levels, preset cooking functions, defrost settings, and user-friendly controls. They also seem to be popular among homeowners looking for a dependable appliance for daily kitchen use If you own any of these models or have other recommendations in the $200–$300 price range, I’d love to hear about your experience. Thanks in advance

Over the past 30 years, we’ve had Microwave ovens in the kitchen. Typically, we use them for warming up leftovers, melting butter, heating coffee. Oh, popcorn… I do not believe we have ever cooked anything significant in them. With that said, I’ve focused on power level and size. They all seem to clean up well due to splatters.

That said, there is one feature that I think should be universal: have the option of either turning off the beep or being able to control the volume.

So far my experience with a Toshiba microwave oven has been excellent. I have been using one for a while. It has proven to be incredibly dependable for regular cooking and reheating, warms food uniformly and is simple to use. I’m pretty happy with it all in all.I also heard from my relatives that GE is also good one

I checked all 3 and only the LG has inverter technology, so that would be the choice of these 3. I have a Panasonic with inverter tech.

I would broaden your ovens for consideration to include the Panasonic Microwave in stock at Costco. It includes inverter technology and we have found it to be an excellent reliable choice. We have had two over the range GE units and both had problems with the PC board going bad, an expensive repair.

Wea are happy with the $150 Sharp one we bought!
