Best Dishwasher, Expert Recommendations?

I am in the market for the best dishwasher and would appreciate some advice before making a purchase. My main priorities are cleaning performance, energy efficiency, and durability, especially for daily use and handling tough stains or large loads.

After reviewing expert opinions from sources like Consumer Reports, The New York Times, and The Spruce, two models consistently stand out:

COMFEE’ Countertop Dishwasher

HAVA Countertop Dishwasher

I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. I need a dishwasher that is quiet, energy-efficient, and can handle a variety of dishes without leaving any residue. My budget is flexible, but the quality, performance, and reliability of the dishwasher are the most important factors.

So, which one would you recommend? Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Not a dishwasher review exactly, but I learned a lot about how dishwashers work and about detergents, etc., from the videos below. I have switched to powdered detergents, and put the right amount in for different cycles. Also, I never knew that with the new water-efficient models, you should run water to hot in your kitchen sink before starting the dishwasher! We never did that when I was growing up…

You didn’t specify, but your choices list countertop dishwashers. Do you need that? Honestly, I’d suggest a built in dishwasher since you said cost is not an issue. There are single and double drawer dishwashers, and under sink dishwashers if you want something smaller.

Just thinking…they could be renters and the unit doesn’t have a built in. I wouldn’t pay to add one to a rental, but I think I’d have to run one of these countertop things after every meal

These were a good watch, some sneaky tips in there too! Any other recommendations?

Hadn’t thought of them being renters, and in that case, a portable dishwasher makes sense. There are full sized ones, too.

I’ve always done that. My DW manual says if the water coming in isn’t hot enough the built in heater will have to heat up the water before it starts.

The cleanest dishwasher is a Labrador Retriever…
