I subscribe to the low-cost Hulu when it is on massive discount. I watch Youtube free items, mostly podcasts and so on. I have an app that lets me download certain Youtube videos and podcasts for later viewing offline.
I have a Netflix (the cheapest version) and my friend lets me use his Paramount account, although there is not much I am watching there.
I also enjov Pluto TV and sometimes Roku TV which are free and have a number of other free services configured on my Roku.
A couple decades ago my Cable Compnay didn’t fully filter the cable when only subscribing to Internet and I was able to watch about 10 channels for free (a couple had less than quality viewing as the filter cut some of the signal off. However they finally eliminated analog channels so I lost all those free ones about 10 years ago.
Unfortunately, I cannot receive any over the air TV stations where I live, regardless of antenna size and there are few radio stations available. This is one of the drawbacks to living in the cheap seats in paradise.
So, I am cheap and have loved free services most of my life. Yes, that includes shareware and cheap/free software on computers.
As an aside, many decades ago I had a C-Band satellite system (big ugly dish) and received much of my content for free. HBO had not yet scrambled their transmissions because, how would want to buy a dish and watch when the cable companys can give you many signals HBO at the time shut down atfter their last movie at maybe 11pm Eastern. I designed a simple circuit that allowed cable companys to switch to the West Coast feed and carry the last 3 hours of HBO (or other East/West providers) again for their late night viewers.
