I’m comparing a few coffee makers for daily use and would love to hear what others here are using. My priorities are good coffee, easy cleanup, and reliability. My priorities are:
Honestly, I think both of the coffee makers you mentioned are really good options. I’ve personally used the Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker, and I’ve had a really positive experience with it. The coffee tastes great, it’s pretty easy to use, and cleanup hasn’t been a hassle for me. I’ve been using it regularly and haven’t had any major complaints. If I had to choose between the two based on my own experience, I’d go with the Ninja.
We do not go for fancy. No froth or ever what they peddle these days. Have seen one go to a lot of work to produce a cup full, but think that is not necessary.
Our choice is called a French Press. That is a generic term; it is a glass beaker with a top that consists of essentially a strainer and a push rod. Put 4 tbs of ground coffee in bottom, fill with boiling water, and wait 4 minutes. Mash the rod down and then pour it out. Our pots make two cups which is just right, but wife picked up a bigger one that might get called into service if we have a guest…
We don’t do whole pots or cup coffee, so a French press might not be right for you.
