I have received my second Synchrony Bank statement after getting the Walmart OnePay card and neither one shows any indication of my 5% rewards or $35 sign up bonus. I initiated a chat with Synchrony to inquire about this discrepancy and was told it is OnePay and not Synchrony that is causing the issue. Has anyone else encountered this BS.
Update: I found out you have to join OnePay in order to see your points and redeem them. This was not pointed out when I signed up for the Synchrony Bank card or I missed it somehow in all the Terms. Also the representative I chatted with at Synchrony did not know what was causing the issue. I expected the Walmart OnePay card to work similarly to the Synchrony Bank Amazon Prime card. With that your reward points accumulation is shown on your credit card statement, and you use them when shopping on Amazon. You don’t have to deal with a third entity.
I received my $35 as a statement credit. I think the website could use some improvement. Kind of kludgy to me. I am with a small local credit union and when I tried to do BillPay it was not an ACH transfer, instead they mailed a check. Took two weeks to get credit for my payment. I hate to do it but from now on I will make the payment from the OnePay site. Still takes a couple of days to clear.

It’s amazing to me that so many businesses still want to be paid with a check! My local water dept is that way. If I use my banks billpay the water dept wants a check from them! Strange.

I agree that the app is not user friendly. You have to go all over the place to see your rewards and your actual charges and balance. It takes some figuring out. I will also use the rewards as a statement credit. Although they offer a good rate to save the money, the wording that it is not a bank worries me. And nowhere does it say it is FDIC insured. So best to just get the credit, I think.
