Walmart, kroger & more short-weighting

I’m wondering if this is on anyone’s radar? There is a Youtuber Jimmy Wrigg that has been going around to different stores and showing a lot of products being underweight. He got the attention of a news outlet that seemed to verify his claims.
I’m wondering if there is any nuance or inaccuracy in his claims? Some of the videos he’s done look pretty bad, some packages have even had close to half the claimed weight. If this is real then it probably deserves a lot more attention but I’m wondering if this is as widespread as it seems.

I personally had this happen to me once with kroger (a few years ago). Purchased some chicken and under the chicken was super heavy gelpacks. When I weighed it as home the chicken was less than half of the weight on the package. I generally stopped buying meat from them since they didn’t seem to care.
