I received my Walmart bill the other day and it said they had billed my insurance already but noticed they had not put in the “Encounter Fee”. This “Encounter Fee” is $36.00. I do not remember anything or body telling me about this “Encounter Fee” and I don’t think OI should have to pay it. Does anyone know what it is and or for? I have looked at the walmart websites and see nothing about an encounter fee.
Lacking detail I’m guessing it’s a code they can submit for the visit. Specific actions taken during the visit are then additional codes.
So they are saying they forgot to submit the charge and are billing you? Did you ask them to resubmit with the fee included?
