Considering that Spirit has shut down and filed for bankruptcy you might be considered a creditor in the bankruptcy. Make sure you have filed a claim with Spirit. If you used a credit card with Spirit you may want to see if that card gives you lost luggage insurance. You also might want to see about a credit card chargeback for the baggage fee.
