QuickSilver Discover?

So, I guess my QS MC will soon become my QS Disc card. When that happens I will have 2 Disc cards and no MC. When I was shopping for my current MC a few years ago my options were limited, not to mention having to unfreeze my credit report and incur the hard hit on my file. Also, I’m retired with respectable assets and excellent credit score but less than impressive income. That said, I’m looking for any recommendations for a new $0 fee MC. Will CapOne offer other MCs or are they all in on Disc now? Thanks community.

I would steer clear of the “big box” credit card offerings for many reasons.
Instead, consider a local credit union card? Easier to get and you will be supporting your local community.

But I live 65 miles from the nearest credit union so how would I help the community?

Personally I like the 5% discount on gas and diesel.

I live 2,500 miles from the nearest branch of my credit union. I also have a local credit union account and use that for notary services and if I need to quickly cash a check.

I have been known to use the local ATM to remove money from the far away credit union, then put it into the envelope and deposit that cash into the local credit union, saving all that time of a ACH transfer CU to CU.

My distance is from any credit union. Also 35 miles (55 minutes) from the bank or grocery store.

Might consider the Synchrony Master Card. Earn 2 percent on “every” purchase. No annual fee.
