We are hearing reports that Kohl’s may be selling their Georgia Stores.
Is this being reported elsewhere.
Shopping is changing. I would hate to see Kohl’s go. It is one of the few remaining medium quality mid price stores.

I enjoy going to Kohl’s because it’s close and the clothes are okay. They don’t last as long but I get tired of wearing the same stuff so I periodically just replace items. Trying to go through the payment system, it’s incredibly difficult, and is run by people who do not speak the English language. I tried to take care of any business at the store, but some of the help behind the desk are morons. I’d like for my Kohl’s to stay here however because so far I can handle any problems that arise.
Kohls has been my go to store for years. Prices are good, but they are one of the few places I have found that will carry Tall and Extra Long sizes. I really don’t like buying clothes online because I like to try them on. But if Kohl’s goes away, I may have to start as I am not willing to pay the “big and tall” prices.
I miss Mervyn’s and Stein-Mart
In 2019 I flew to Virginia for my 50th High School reunion. The dinner was being held at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville and the hotel requested dinner jackets and so on. OUCH! My normal attire is shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. In the Tidewater area all I could find was Kohls to buy a suit, so that is where I ended up.
The casual get togethe was a barbque and I taklked them into a luau. I brought the music, leis and coffee and novelties like surfboard keychains.
I still have the Kohls suit, worn once. I have no idea what I am going to do with it. It was nice and reasonably priced, if you need a suit. Some of us don’t.
You remind me of a guy from Puerto Rico, in my company, who after a Business trip to NY included an overcoat on his expense report. He got blowback… you cannot charge the company for an overcoat.
When he resubmitted his expenses the overcoat was gone but the total was the same. When he got more questions he said you find the Overcoat.
They paid it!!
