Buying clothes at Costco

I buy a lot of mens clothes at Costco. My one complaint is lately many of the items are really almost “workout” clothes, not really even casual or somewhat dressy. I do disagree with the comment posted that they think Costco sells seconds. That is simply not true, everything they sell is first quality, you may not like the item but it is not a second.

We buy most of what we need at Costco – clothes, underwear, socks, rugs, small appliances, toiletries, pet meds, glasses frames and lenses, cleaning, blankets, clothes, etc., and, of course, food. We appreciate the quality and like the KS brand. We’ve bought the low, low last chance items, still no problems. It doesn’t bother us that Costco doesn’t have dressing rooms; we wouldn’t use them if available. We’ve never had a problem returning anything that doesn’t fit the way we thought, or we just don’t like. The only thing we do not buy at Costco is shoes.

The only negative clothing issue I’ve encountered is their Kirkland men’s jeans. My husband is HARD on jeans, wearing holes and creating tears at all the stress/wear points. Costco has gone to a cheaper flimsy material that must have shorter weaker threads. They were ripping faster than I could mend them. This never had been the case before. I now find that Sam’s Club jeans wear a little better although finding nonstretch jeans is becoming more difficult. In a moment of anger and frustration, I scooped up all the Costco jeans , some in mid-repair and returned them. I was surprised they took all ~ 8 pairs back. No questions asked.

I have bought several nice items and returned most because most 2X are a large!
