Anyone purchase and actually use EA+? It seems legit but cannot find anyone who ever actually used it. Thanks. Covers medical evacuation on trips.
Not that I know of, but I know two people on separate trips who had significant enough injuries that they were treated at hospitals. One hospitalized for a few days, one treated in ER, but needing multiple scheduled followup care appointments. One was a young person, one about my age.
Most trip insurance policies include some amount of coverage for getting one home due to medical reasons, but I suspect the amount of coverage can vary significantly.

Look also at MedJetAssist. With their policy if you are hospitalized overseas you can request to be transferred to the hospital of your choice in the USA. Approval of the overseas medical staff is not needed to initiate the transfer.
