I did not get the $600 tax stimulus check, though I got the other 2. I am current with my taxes - just filed 2022 3 weeks ago. I have searched the internet and taked to a couple of franchise tax preparers. Everyone’s advice is to file an amended tax return - I am guessing for 2021? The IRS website says not to file an amended tax return to collect the simulus payment. I called the 800 number for the IRS. The dumbbot I was talking to could not understand my question. Frustration level is a little high now. What should I do? I cannot take time off from work until the end of May, but the only solution I can see is to talk to someone f2f.
