Ever since I changed my newspaper subscription to digital, i am getting pop ups from the paper on my laptop (but not my phone).
I assume it is is an easy fix in my settings but I am not the most savvy computer person.
Any thoughts o how to address? - Thank you.
What browser are you using
I use Firefox with the “uBlock Origin” ad blocker. Works good for me.
Now, I know most of you use the Chrome browser so I’ll defer on that.
In Chrome click on the three dots in teh upper right, scroll to settings, click on privacy and security, and scroll down site settings and then to pop ups to change the setting there.
Thank you for the responses. My browser is firefox.
I am sure it is an easy fix in the setting but I a,m nit the most computer savvy
Again thx for any suggestions
based upon the above advice, I added uBlock Origin and it seems to be working. Thank you,
Yep, most of the geeky types use that.
I’ve been retired from IT for 6 years and admittedly have lost a little geekiness, but just with the settings in Chromium (Chrome) I never see popups. Sometimes that is a problem if a website uses pop ups, but there is usually an alert and if I need it I can click on the alert.
I’ve been using Firefox for years, I like to support open source stuff. I also used Netscape for years when everybody else was using Internet Explorer! Ha Ha!
