Definitely go for a dual hose unit as the more common single hose units create negative pressure inside your cooling space, drawing in hot and humid air

Hi @TinkSherpa true portable air conditioners that cool a whole room still need a hose to vent the heat outside. that’s just physics. without a hose you can use evaporative coolers (swamp coolers), which work well in dry climates and use very little power. one solid option is the Hessaire MC18M Swamp Cooler. there’s also the Coolzy-style personal cooler that uses real refrigeration to blow chilled air at you instead of cooling the whole room, with no hose required. it really depends on whether you need personal relief or full-room cooling.
