We booked a cruise and purchased their insurance. We were told we could add on the portion of the trip when we will be on our own. Now they tell us we cannot. The time has passed that will cover pre-existing conditions. I am not sure why the extra week and flights when we will be on our own has to be included in the original trip since technically it is a separate trip. Thoughts? Another question-thoughts on needing auto rental insurance in France from the car rental company or would the insurance through AMEX be sufficient? Thanks in advance.
