Same here. I have had my credit frozen for quite a few years, only unfreezing it temporarily a few times.
I froze ours in 2017 after the Equifax breach that exposed 143 million accounts (the whole shooting match: birth date, address, SSN, everything identity thieves needed). The one where the top-level execs dumped all their shares before the press release, then walked away with their golden parachutes and no indictments.

I’m more concerned about someone being able to get into and then manipulate that data to affect everyone’s social security payments.

Congress can legislate away any promised “benefits” offered to the public if there’s a government-managed economic disaster looming.
