I use Verizon. What’s the advantage to me to use T-mobile direct Starlink connection to Starlink when I just use WIfi calling now?
I think the Starlink use case is more for people on cruise ships, out camping in the woods, and other places where no cell / wifi signal exists…
This is for use when you have no cell signal, like many remote areas. You can use wifi calling if you have a wifi connection, but not if the power goes out and your router won’t work. Also, it’s a great thing to have if you are hiking or driving in no signal areas. This beta test works with any carrier through July, at which time their website says you can add it to your existing plan elsewhere for 20/ month.
