Um, are brick-and-mortal bookstores in general doomed?
I think so. My wife is an avid reader, for the past decade+ she only buys Kindle books. I don’t buy paper books either, I try to get the e-book if possible.
When you combine high crime, reduced tourism, and high real estate prices, you get the death spiral that SF Bay Area is in now…
Well, butler, hasn’t the United States in general been in a death spiral as of late? Keep in mind that the U.S. fertility rate has decreased.
Your comment is definitely true…but not related to the story in this thread.
Well, butler, do you think brick-and-mortar bookstores in general are doomed?
So we went from a bookstore in SF Bay Area to the national birth rate to all brick-and-mortar bookstores.
I would say you are probably correct on bookstores, except for a very few examples, like rare books or collectibles.
