Clark recommends that Costco is the best place for buying new tires. However, when you have a new car and the tire get’s damaged due to road hazard (happens more due to the road construction going on), you end up paying for the full price of the replacement tire.
Buying a Tire Warranty from the Dealer is expensive. Discount Tire provides a lower priced Tire warranty even if you did not buy the tire from them as long as the vehicle is new. Because of this you end up always getting the tire replaced from Discount Tire even if Costco can give you a better deal (but lose on the warranty prorated price).
I am curious to see how folks are handling this and if there is a better option (other than depending on your luck and not taking any warranty at all).
