You’re obviously considering that the cost of the energy used to recharge the batteries is negligible. Is this a good assumption?
Another BIG reason to change to rechargeables is they do not leak acid quickly as regular batteries.
For most household uses it is a pretty reasonable assumption since the electricity to recharge small batteries is very cheap.The bigger cost difference usually comes from the battery price and how many recharge cycles you get.
