Dr. Oz, the person tapped to be the new head of Medicare / Medicaid is a big advocate of Medicare Advantage and has stated publicly in the past support for a concept called “Medicare Advantage for All”.
As someone retiring next year whose spouse absolutely 100% cannot use Advantage (because MD Anderson Cancer Center does not accept Medicare Advantage) this fills us both with major dread. The way to use MD Anderson is via Original Medicare. Due to the aggressive genetics of her disease, she needs to be at MD Anderson, or Memorial Sloan Kettering, or Sam Hutch in Seattle. If she had been in average care, not to impugn whatever the average is in this country, she honestly could be deceased already.

This position has to be confirmed by the US Senate. So, contact your US Senators and express your support for or objection to Dr. Oz. I am not going to tell you what to do. You make up your own minds. Do your own research.
I prefer NO comments to this post. I don’t want the thread to devolve and become a cesspool. It is what it is… the only thing people can do is contact US Senators, then we have to live with the end result, whatever it is, and make the best of what life serves up (which cancer families do learn early on).
