I think the entire fee has been $100 so the benefit covers it.
Whoops it’s now $120 for Global Entry. It was $100 the last time I had it.
“The cost of TSA PreCheck depends on which enrollment provider you use. It costs $78 to submit a TSA PreCheck application at an Idemia enrollment center or $85 at a Telos enrollment center. There are more than 600 Idemia locations and only 26 Telos locations”
I have the Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature Card that touts 2% cash back on rewards deposited into eligible Fidelity accounts. However, based on the amount that was redeemed into my eligible Fidelity account, it was actually 1%. When I questioned it, I was told that this card earns 2 points for each $1 in net purchases and Cash back into a Fidelity account will redeem at 1% (2,500 points = $25). Statement credits will redeem at a .5% valve (2,500 points = $12.50). So, how is the statement that this card is a 2% cash back rewards card? Am I missing something? I redeemed 12,064 points into my Fidelity brokerage account. If you are supposed to earn 2% cash back if redeemed into a Fidelity account, shouldn’t I have earned $241.28? However, I only earned $120.64.
Yeah, I was looking at it from the prospective of total points and not total dollars. So, if I earned 2 pts for every $ spent, then 2% of $6,032(12,064/2) is $120.64. It would be easier just to say that you earn 2% on net dollars spent if deposited to a Fidelity acct, etc..
This used to be my #1 card. It’s a good card, I still have it, but what I don’t like about the Elan/Fidelity card is that if you have multiple authorized users, all charges are lumped together on the bill. NFCU gives each user their own card #, and charges are broken out by user/#. If you have people with a card who reimburse you (e.g. kids), it’s much easier w/ a card like the Navy FCU 2% card, where every user gets their own #.
Also, NFCU gives you the cash back as you earn it vs Elan/Fidelity after you pay your bill (and only deposited it into a Fidelity brokerage account).
