Medical Co-Pays

When you have a higher CoPay for a Specialist than a Primary Care Doctor, do you think it is right to pay the specialist CoPay to see a PA (Physician’s Assistant) in the Specialty.

How about when you made an Appointment with the Doctor and got the PA?

Are they saying that a Specialist PA is better than a Primary Care Doctor? That makes no sense.

Don’t forget PP, nothing to do with medical insurance makes sense. I’ve only seen a couple of specialist PAs, but they were absolutely top notch. Certainly don’t assume that’s universal.

I think it’s ok. The MD supervises. Sadly my wife is at a very highly ranked cancer hospital, the MD is more like the symphony conductor the PAs and the nurses are the team members and deliver most of the care and that’s okay.
