Um, does anyone think that Ms. Komando has been too paranoid about Temu?
I only use the website. And an email alias.
I will never use Temu. It’s from China and I want to know how a startup company can afford to do so much advertising blasts that costs probably millions of dollars? The Chinese government, that’s how. They’re taking all of your info when you sign up and when you buy from them.
If you install an app from a Chinese company on your phone you are rolling the dice.
I have an old iphone that I use for Temu and Aliexpress apps. It is used for nothing else and has no cell data. Not sure if this level of separation is needed but I have very few worries about them being installed
I used them once. They sold products so cheap, and cheap they were. Quality is terrible at best. I deleted the App. Will not buy their garbage products ever again. Its just China’s way of getting info on millions of Americans so their hackers can get to work. Also, stay away from Shien, another cheap low quality site.
For what it is worth, I have had pretty good results with Wish.Com.
I have purchased a number of devices such as remote control boards (I use them to fix things like garage door openers). Also I found some good modules for water level detection and so on.
Only 1 product I received was dubious to say the least. Then again, I figured it would be. It was a 1 tb memory stick for something like $3. It does kinda work but seems more suited as a heater.
