Getting calls from "Medicredit" about medical bills

I’ve recently received two robo calls from a company called Medicredit:

“Hello. We are calling from medicredit on behalf of [unintelligible] Trinity Family Care. This is a call from a debt collector. Please return our call at 800-823-2318 Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Again, we are calling from medicredit on behalf of [unintelligible] Trinity Family Care. This is a call from a debt collector. Please return our call at 800-823-2318 Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Thank you.”

Does anyone know if this company is legitimate? I haven’t been to the hospital at all, but I’m wondering if it could be identity theft or a legitimate mistake. Any thoughts on how I should handle this?

I found this…different phone number though

There are several articles about getting entries from this organization off their credit report, so you might want to pull your credit report and look for any unusual entries. There was also a class action lawsuit that was closed out last year regarding…robocalls. Some of the articles I found said DO NOT call them.
