I filed my income taxes on time, filing my federal electronically and mailing my Georgia income tax return on Monday, April 15. When I go online to check on the status of my state refund, I receive a message that states, “The information you have entered does not match our records, however you may have mailed your return.” How backed up is the DOR? With the status of our mail service in the Atlanta area, I’m wondering if the return even made it. I’ve tried calling the DOR, but I haven’t been able to talk to a “live” person–everything is automated. How long should I wait to re-submit my return?
