I’m looking for trip delay insurance that will cover the cost of rebooking a flight on another airline if the original flight is cancelled/delayed for any reason (weather/mechanical/whatever) and doesn’t offer another flight for days. Basically, booking on a low cost airline that might only offer service a couple of times/week.
if this airline doesn’t have agreements with other airlines, odds are that insurance like this will be quite pricey
Perhaps. But I’d like to look.
The thing is this - one reason the low fare carrier has a cheaper fare is because they have limited flights. I get it…..but it looks like you will need to give your email address to many different companies to get a quote, but I would really read the fine print very closely. But I think you may be defeating the purpose of the low fare carrier.
