I have both smart phone and Samsung flip. The flip phone is over a decade old, was cheap, and service is only $8.34 a month.

I’m convinced my old flip phones would still be working now if they could get the 4G/5G signals. They lasted forever! Loved them.
Someone is coming out w a new flip phone soon, heard an advertisement…
I’m surprised no one mentioned my favorite solution: a flip phone, supplemented by an iPad I keep with me when needing internet for email, direction, etc. That way each device does what it does best: calls and text on flip phone, larger screen and better display for reading, writing, directions and searches on the iPad.
I have a buddy who’s a real Luddite! He’s a local roofer. Uses a flip phone. But he’s always looking at other peoples smartphones! He does know roofing. He re-roofed my house 5 or 6 years ago!
I took wife’s flip phone when she passed 16 years ago. No idea how old it is.
Best phone I ever had.
