Can anyone recommend a small USB powerbank?

eBay has a bazillion no-name or weird-name USB power banks for sale. I bought one of these once, and it was almost worthless (did not hold a charge). Does anyone have one they really like that they’d be willing to recommend? Just the brand name would help. Thanks.

Are you talking about a portable battery ?

If so, almost everyone I know uses Anker.

Exactly so, thank you! My 2 year old Motorola is doing fine but the battery is getting weaker. I wish these things had customer replaceable batts. That’s coming to the EU soon.

I agree: anything from Anker will be good.

Another vote for Anker. You get what you pay for.

Up until my last cell phone I always found phones with removable batteries. You can still find them but not many choices. I finally gave up and bought a Google Pixel 7A.

How do you like the 7A ? I have the 6A and need to upgrade…

I have been using Anker for years. Another vote.

Anker here too. Just look up what long distance hikers typically bring on the Appalachian Trail. I believe it is Anker brand.

Anker is what I have

Love it! I am not a power user but I did need move up to 5G. Makes a big difference in speed. Because it’s a Google product they will keep it updated much better than the cheap Android phones I had been buying.

I recommend you search YouTube for “power bank project farm” and watch the two latest tests. The Project Farm channel’s testing methods have my highest respect, and I am a retired degreed engineer.

Or if pressed for time, just click these links and fast forward to the last four minutes of each test:

Anker has been the best for me.

So I didn’t like the Anker’s ports as compared to the Belkin, both were customer-rated the same (highly), and the Belkin was on sale, so I got it. It works well.
