Builder's Risk Policy

I am getting some land cleared, couple of small buildings demoed, and getting a new house built on land I own outright.

I currently have USAA homeowners insurance on an older house on the same property.

I’m wondering about buying an extra policy or rider to make sure I am covered during this work…

Anyone dealt with builder’s risk insurance? Know whether USAA does it as a rider?

I’d give USAA a call and ask them, I’ve found them pretty responsive on insurance inquiries.

They’ll probably sub it out to a fire & casualty firm or partner.
