Amazon Price History: A Quick Way to See if a Deal Is Really a Deal

I just learned about Amazon’s Price History feature. Maybe I’m the last person to discover it, but I thought it was worth sharing!

How to use it:

Find the product on Amazon using your computer or mobile device.

  1. Look for the Price History section (or use a browser extension/service that displays Amazon price history).
  2. Review the pricing trends to see how the current price compares to historical prices.
  3. Determine whether the “sale” is actually a good deal or just a temporary discount from an inflated price.
  4. Set a price alert if the item isn’t at your target price yet and wait for a better deal.

Tip: A product marked “25% off” isn’t always a bargain. Price history can show whether today’s price is truly lower than normal or just marketing hype.

Bottom line: Before clicking “Buy Now,” take 30 seconds to check the price history—you might save yourself some money.
