Allegiant, Avelo, Breeze Airlines

On the radio / podcastshow, Clark mentioned these three odd-ball airlines that all have a strategy of 100% non-stops, no hubs / no connections, they fly point-to-point for “family visits and vacations” into and out of secondary airports, and very inexpensively. Oh, also they don’t necessarily fly every day.

Take a look at their route maps. You might luck out. Here is what I found here in Houston:

Allegiant Air - Houston Hobby to Provo UT… wish I had know about this a few weeks earlier, I bought $$$ tickets to Satl Lake City

Avelo Air - Houston Hobby to New Haven CT if I ever then want to go to NYC by train

Not a huge haul for me, but you might be luckier. And luck does play heavily into it.

OMG you can’t make this stuff up… Avelo is actually leaving its West Coast airport in order to pivot towards flying extraordinary rendition / deportation flights for ICE!

Couldn’t make enough money flying people to taste wine in Sonoma County… gotta chase the Dollar flying handcuffed and shackled people out of the USA.

I was going to try flying them Houston to New Haven CT but NOPE NOPE NOPE

“Avelo Airlines confirmed with SFGATE that it signed an agreement committing to a “long-term charter program” with the Department of Homeland Security and ICE for deportation flights. The contract begins on May 12. In turn, Avelo Airlines is shuttering base operations at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport on May 1.” {yes, named after the Charlie Brown cartoonist!}
