I use Mailwasher Pro to filter my email. It can be a bit of a pain to set up but its worth it! It can identify spam before it hits my inbox and delete it.
I use Thunderbird email client and add fiters and let it train iktself to eliminate spam.
I recently saw lots of spam emails sent to my accounts from various emails. I looked in the headers of the emails and found they were using a specific LIST-ID (which identifies the email as having come from a purchased email candidate list). I set up one filter to move them to the spam filter and when another comes in, poof! I love it when spammers are clueless. It was almost like hey told me ‘this is spam’.
