A big reason why I ask is because Proton Mail is brought up in this article.
I use it. It’s not my primary though. I use Proton Pass (password manager) and Proton Pass lets me create an UNLIMITED number of email aliases which get fed into Proton Mail. This is very useful. I can use a unique email for every financial account, and if it ever gets exposed (if I ever start getting spam through it) I just kill it and make a new one.
But once I get an important email there, I forward it to Gmail. I have limited free storage at Proton Mail, and I don’t want to pay for more.
Proton mail is largely regarded as the best free email service. One of my experts is Naomi Brockwell on YouTube and she also owns a TV station which is geared to privacy.
Proton Mail servers are based in Switzerland and are thus not subject to the jurisdiction of US courts or US court orders.
