Is Lowering Interest Rates Necessarily a Positive for the Economy?

Additionally this forces us older folk to take undue risk with dividend paying equities that in time will always revert to a mean.

Think the word is “undue,” actually.

But yes, it forces older people too far out the risk/return curve. While I was playing piano at a retirement home a few years back, a resident asked me, “Where can I get a SAFE positive after-inflation return?” “Nowhere,” was my reply, sadly.

Savers DESERVE a positive after-inflation return on their investments. Why do no politicians think about them?
