I am in a bit of a hardship. I worked for 10 weeks at my previous company without receiving a paycheck. I finally quit the company on August 1st. I was a salaried professional (engineer) and I had belief in the company that things would turnn around.
I finally quit the company on August 1st. I then went unemployed until 9/27. I am still waiting on my first paycheck from the new company (hopefully this Friday).
All of this has caused me to be severely behind on my mortgage - almost 4 months behind.. My mortgage company has been great at working with me but they have urged me to look into mortgage assistance programs.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an assistance program that is legitimate and is not related to the pandemic?
any push in the right direction wouold be greatly appreciated.
