Generics Manufacturers

I have an eyedrop prescription when under patent was originally developed by Merck. Thea Pharma now owns the rights to the brand name. The drug went generic in 2022, and I think there are currently five FDA-approved generic manufacturers;

Eugia Pharma
Ingenus Pharms LLC
Micro Labs
New HeightsRx
Aurobindo Pharma USA

When I get this filled at a US pharmacy as generic, should I care about which company the pharmacy used? Are some generic manufactures known to have higher quality standards than others, or have their labs in countries with more regulation over the facilities than others? Eg, I think Micro Labs manufacturers in India.

Reasonable question. Some of both brand name and generic pharmaceutical are manufactured outside the United States. The FDA regulates both US and international manufacturing facilities and can inspect imported products. Additionally, counterfeit importing of pharmaceuticals to the U.S. occurs without FDA oversight. My understanding is that there has more issues over the years with imported foreign drugs.
