Comment on “In the DoorDash Driver Review: How Much Money Can You Make?”

If I were giving advice on evaluating your cost, I would start with the IRS 2025 standard mileage rate ($0.70 per mile) for business use.
This includes
-
Fixed costs: Depreciation, insurance, registration fees, etc.
-
Variable costs: Fuel, maintenance, tires, etc.
So in the following example, I think the cost should have been estimated as $400 (572 miles times $0.70)
“I earned $1,112.78, but I had driven approximately 572 miles while delivering. If your car gets 25 MPG and gas costs around $3.50 per gallon, for example (you can check today’s national average gas price on AAA’s website), that’s an expense of $84 over the course of 600 miles.
Just my thoughts from the peanut gallery.
