Just wondering how it will work for my wife to use my credit card or me to use hers.
I am a bit concerned about using my fingerprint. I am 85 yrs old and my fingerprints have worn away, I know this because where I worked up until several years ago employees were required to use a fingerprint to get into the secured part of the office and none of my fingers worked, only the thumb on my right hand. Using my face would be fine but not my fingers!
Can hardly wait. I have had several cards used fraudulently and had to go through calling the card issuer. Waiting on a replacement card and so forth. I am glad they have come up with a solution to the problem. I froze my credit after the first card was stolen.
I don’t like it. I don’t want to give my fingerprint or facial recognition. Will there be any other option? Also, how do I let someone else use my credit card to make purchases if a code is only sent to my phone for verification? Can you list multiple numbers for verification. How do you make payments over the phone to someone verbally?
I know that most people today have and use cell phones, but not everyone. We are in our late 70s and my wife has a smartphone but I only use a flip-phone and keep it in my vehicle for emergencies. I definitely do not want to lug a heavy smartphone around in my pocket in order to use a credit card! Fraudulent transactions are not a risk to the user, they are a risk to the card issuer. I have recently seen “cash not accepted” in stores. Without a stupidphone, we will not be able to make purchases at all. I am totally against tying a credit card to a smartphone. End of rant.
I don’t like it either. Seems like it will open up a whole new set of security and privacy issues. ![]()
I will use bio-metrics. a token is okay.
