The company I work for offers a health plan from Philadelphi American Life Insurance Co. First Health Network, Limited Benefit. I had to pressure the representative for the health plan company to say that this was not a plan regulated by the ACA and that it was a basic, stripped down health plan. From what i understand, claims are made by the policy holder then reimbursed a certain amount for the office visit, procedure, etc. Prescription are $20.00 back for generic and $40.00 back for name brand. I expressed my concerns about this plan so a representative is visiting our company this Thursday so I’d like to know what questions to ask so that everyone understands exactly what this. Geta copy of the health plan policy either online, though your company’s HR or the insurance company repesentative so that you will have all the information. Consider delaying the representatives visit so you and all your coworkers have adequate time to learn about the plan and to get your questions organized.
You may need to start on an antacid when you see the policy.
