I’m receiving CP53E notices (1 in email and 2 in USPS) that state incorrect information.
As usual, all the normal IRS “help” functions don’t address the problem, they just assume the notice is based on fact.
Anyone else having a problem with notices based on incorrect info?
ADDED LATER: It might be that the IRS is sending this notice out because 2025 tax year refunds are going to be transitioning to direct-deposit payments.
