My bank allows me to view the image of the canceled paper check that they sent on my behalf - does this make it safe for me to use this service?
I understand the possible risks mentioned by using online bill pay when paper checks are mailed but I have been using my Wells Fargo checking online bill pay for many years and hundreds of transactions and never had a problem myself.
So there is little incentive to go to a far less convenient process such as switching to dozens of individual direct payments.
