Is there a reason Keeper Vault is not listed as one of the 10 Best Password Managers? I have used it for years and there have been no issues with it, except on the user end! I recommend it all the time and am amazed as many do not know about it. It does cost $39.99 per year but I find that a paid password manager seems to be a better manager than free one…at least has more options.
Also, not ALL of the 10 Password Managers you listed are Free. That should be clarified in the title as “Free/Paid”. Thanks.
I have tried a couple of dedicated password managers but, being a user of Android and Chrome and Gmail, I have found no advantage over Google’s default password manager. YMMV if you are not an Android user; I don’t know.
A recommendation from a first time poster is suspicious. I’ve never heard of the PM that he mentioned. My computer guru is Leo Laporte. He’s been the Tech guy a long time on TV, radio and now podcasts. He was recommending LastPass until they had a data breech a few years ago. He now likes Bitwarden which is what I now use. Yes, there are other good ones too.
I would not use Google’s password manager, it’s really a matter of trust. Their authenticator had a problem whereby the secret authentication codes were backed up to a server without encryption… that was SUPER BAD. Their attack surface is just so large… nope. I use Proton Pass, at work my company provides 1Password.
I am sorry you feel like a first time poster is “suspicious.” I just happen to be new to the community not to Clark Howard’s news. Keeper Vault has been around for many years and has a pristine track record. It may not have all the “bells & whistles” of other PM but it is at least reliable and relatable. Thank you.
