My young family member is a female teacher who just married a med student with 4 more years, and has accumulated 50G per year in debt. Last year his uncle signed for him. He is not a citizen. I heard that Cuba has good medical programs, and are they cheaper?
So the marriage makes it possible for him to accumulate more debt this next year.
Her dad put her thru college to the tune of 175G, and she is saving out of her teaching salary by living with parents.
She obviously does not understand his finances well enough. Her dad said out of med school he will be a resident, and make 63G a year. He wants her to get a term life insurance policy on him.
Is there any way she can protect her good record and keep her money separate in NJ, now that she married him?
