I researched the best massage gun as I’ve been dealing with muscle soreness and stiffness after workouts and long hours sitting at my desk.I went through reviews from trusted sources like Reddit, Wirecutter, and other fitness review websites, and after comparing many options, these two kept coming up as the top choices:
B37v2 Massage Gun
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D97H5TVL
Mebak 3 Massage Gun
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X37T9R5
However, I’m having trouble deciding which one would be better for me, and I’d really appreciate your advice. I’m hoping some fitness enthusiasts, athletes, physical therapists, or anyone with hands-on experience can share their thoughts. Any recommendations, personal experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I looked into this for my daughter a little while back and here is what I found.
Check out: Best Massage Guns 2026 | Tested And Reviewed - Forbes Vetted
Consumer Reports has an article “12 Best Massage Guns of 2026, Lab-Tested and Reviewed”
Tip: The biggest mistake I see people make is treating it like a power tool and cranking it up to full speed. More pressure is not necessarily better.
Finally, I suggest keeping your eyes open and considering a foam roller, the tried and true heating pad and “shockingly” a TENS unit.
Key Takeaways
- Best Overall: Theragun Prime Plus – best ergonomics and ease of use.
- Quietest Full-Size: Hyperice Hypervolt 3 (Consumer Reports also highlighted Hyperice models as relatively quiet and easy to use).
- Best Value: Ekrin B37 – excellent performance without the premium price tag.
- Best Travel Option: Theragun Mini – light, compact, and among the quietest devices tested.

I bought a cheap ($20) massage gun and it works very well for the aches I can reach for 5 years so far. It has the same problem as the more expensive ones in that I cannot reach areas on my back. It was well worth the price.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I agree that using a massage gun at full power isn’t necessarily better, especially when dealing with sore muscles. I’m mainly looking for something that offers good recovery without being too aggressive. The Ekrin B37 and Theragun Prime Plus both sound interesting, but I also like the point about considering a foam roller or heating pad. For this Mebak and B37v2 I think would be great options. I’ll probably compare a few of these options before deciding.
